The proliferation of broadcasting platforms and online content offers has caused a phenomenon that has gained momentum in recent years: addiction to TV series. At the microphone of Franco Nuovo, columnist Ariane Cipriani explains that burst viewing, in particular, is responsible for this new trend.
People who are susceptible to developing this form of addiction find it difficult to self-regulate and may therefore watch television programs for many hours. It is the search for dopamine, nicknamed “the hormone of happiness”, which leads them to adopt this behavior.
