In this regard, Dr. Laila Ragab, a mental health consultant, said that Ramadan songs evoke memories that bring happiness to the soul, such as family gatherings for breakfast and suhoor and performing religious rituals.

Laila added that nostalgia or nostalgia for the past has positive effects on psychological and mental health, as it helps:

– Improve mood.

– Getting rid of nervous stress.

Dr. Ibrahim Magdy, a mental health consultant, agreed with her, explaining: “When we hear Ramadan songs, each of us remembers the happy events associated with this holy month, such as decorating the house and streets with lanterns and colored lamps.”

Magdy explained the secret of the joy that we feel when listening to Ramadan songs, saying, “The brain secretes hormones when recalling memories associated with them, which play a major role in improving mood and feeling happy, in addition to their ability to reduce stress and anxiety.”
