Unilig, organized by the TRNC Basketball Federation in cooperation with the Universities Sports Federation and sponsored by METGIN, is approaching the end, and tough matches continue to be played.
Near East University (NEU) and Rauf Denktaş University (RDU) came face to face at the RA-25 Sports Hall in the match that directly concerns the summit. Against NEU, who had a 9-point lead in the first period, RDU found the same number of differences in the second period and the half was finished 32-32. Head-to-head fighting continued in the third quarter and the final quarter was drawn 47-47.
RDU started the final period better and maintained its dominance until the last minutes. NEU managed to turn the match with a short time before the end and scored an extremely critical victory.
Batu Aybars from NEDU scored 20 points and Alp Kıvanç Rıza scored 19 points in the match where 6 times the change of dominance and 9 times the equality were experienced. The most effective player of RDU was Emmanuel Ilenekhian, who played with 20 points and 17 rebounds.
