Beta Diablo 4: “Do I really have to look like this?” This detail does not appeal to players at all!

In the Diablo 4 Open Beta, the Druid is for the first time playable by everyone. This class has not been seen in the series since Diablo 2 and many had hope for these warriors of nature. Unique because they are the only shapeshifters in Diablo, which can then take the form of a bear or a wolf, they do not however manage to convince and are strongly criticized by Internet users.

The Druids Gameplay Problem

After the first tests, many players are disappointed. It is especially the performance of the druids which is criticized. On Reddit, several Internet users explain that no build is really powerful. However the druids are played, they lag behind all other classes.

During the first Early Access, Barbarians were already significantly weaker than Wizards and Rogues, but they benefited from a buff. Druids are even weaker, they mostly have problems once morest bosses and have to take on too many enemies. But the gameplay isn’t the only problem though.

“I am disappointed with the appearance of the druid”

By far the biggest topic on Reddit right now, with over 1,200 comments, is Druid Appearance. They are represented in Diablo 4 as being Overweight in all available body shapes. Described as “non-aesthetic”, Internet users explain that they are not fatphobic but that they would still have liked to have a choice when creating the character.

I don’t mean to offend anyone, I just think it’s not aesthetically pleasing because I don’t like tall or bearded characters. That’s why I never played barbarians, because they were weirdly huge and looked like a closet in Diablo 3 and before. But the female barbarian in Diablo 4 is more athletic and muscular than stocky, which is why this is the first time I’m going to try this class.
Wish we had 2-3 options like in Star Wars: The Old Republic where you might choose thin, medium, muscular/fat and giant for both genders. This gives a fork to play with.

At least a few players, however, seem to be happy with the Druid’s appearance. A user claims that his character looks like Robert Baratheon in Game of Thrones and that’s just what he finds awesome.
