Ramadan sports started with ‘Paddle’ competition

Dubai: The Nadal Sheba Sports Tournament, a Ramadan support event, has started with the Padel Championship. The tournament is held every year during Ramadan and is staged at the Nadal Sheba Sports Complex. Nas Sports is one of the leading tournaments in the UAE in terms of prize money. The 10th season started with an exciting padel competition. Around 500 players, including international players, are competing in the padel championship.

Roberto Rodriguez-Martin Noches, Jonathan Green-Colin Marshall and Issa Al Marzooqi-Ahmad Mustafa won the first matches. UAE Padel Association Secretary General Saeed Mohammed Al Marri said that the number of players has increased by 10 times compared to the first edition. He added that the UAE national team is also performing well in international paddle competitions. The UAE were the champions in the NAS Sports tournament held at the GCC level last year.

Eight sports competitions are organized here to keep the Ramadan nights alive. Apart from paddle, volleyball, archery, fencing, running, cycling, wheelchair basketball and jiu jitsu will be staged. Non-residents and natives can participate. Can compete individually and in groups. The race will be held in four, five and 10 km categories. You can register till April 3 to participate in this.
