A few days ago we learned the sad news of the passing of Lance Reddick. The famous actor, present in series such as The Wire or Fringe, was also known in the world of video games for his participation in titles such as Horizon: Forbidden West and, above all, Destiny 2.
In Bungie’s title, Reddick played the character of Zavala, one of the most beloved by fans. Fans paid various tributes to this character following the news, leaving us with some awesome scenes.

But that’s not the last we see of Zavala, as Bungie has confirmed that future Destiny content will continue to feature the character. And it will be done without hiring a new actor, since they will be using existing footage for future appearances.
For now, we’ll honor his presence through his upcoming performances in-game and in memories that will last a lifetime. We are deeply saddened by his passing, but very grateful for the time we spent together and our thoughts are with his friends and loved ones.
This role was one of Reddick’s most praised in the gaming world, with Zavala being a much-loved character in the community. Bungie will honor the memory of the actor with what he loved to do.
