Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians face off today to win the first Mumbai Women’s Premier League cricket title. The final will be played at 7:30 PM at Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium. Both teams had 12 points in the group stage with six wins from eight games. Delhi topped the run rate and directly entered the final. Qualified for the title fight by defeating UP Warriors in the Mumbai Eliminator. The two teams met twice in the group stage and shared the victory. Batters are the strength of teams. Delhi captain Australian Meg Lanning is at the top with 310 runs in eight games. Shafali Verma is the opener with a firework batting. Jemima Rodriguez and Marisanne Kapp are also in form. Marisanne is accompanied by Shikha Pandey to bowl. Minnu Mani is the Malayali presence in the team. Harmanpreet Kaur-led Mumbai line-up with Hayley Mathews and Nat Skeever shining in the batting.
