Sega Publishing Korea announced on the 25th that it will release ‘Sonic Origins Plus’ and ‘Sonic Origins: Expansion Pack’ on June 23rd.
The company will introduce ‘Sonic Origins Plus’, which includes additional download contents (DLC) ‘Plus Content Pack’ that adds elements such as new characters ‘Amy’ and ‘Knuckles (Sonic CD)’ and 12 titles for the Game Gear. In addition, the DLC ‘Sonic Origins: Expansion Pack’, which includes the ‘Plus Content Pack’, will also be released.
‘Sonic Origins Plus’ package and download version will be released through PlayStation (PS) 4 and 5 and Nintendo Switch. Downloads are available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
The package version ‘Sonic Origins Plus’ comes with an original art book and a reversible jacket with a Mega Drive atmosphere. In addition, as an early purchase privilege, a ‘special record rubber coaster’ is presented. By scanning the two-dimensional code attached to the product, you can enjoy the BGM collection.
‘Sonic Origins: Expansion Pack’ includes not only this plus content pack, but also the previously released DLC ‘Classic Music Pack’ and ‘Premium Fun Pack’.
In this ‘Sonic Origins Plus’, you can play as Knuckles in ‘Sonic CD’, one of the included titles. In addition, new routes are added to some stages of ‘Sonic CD’.
In addition, a number of new titles, the origins of Sonic, such as ‘Sonic Chaos’ and ‘Tales Adventure’ are newly added. In ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ of the Game Gear version, you can enjoy different stages and sounds from the Mega Drive version of ‘Sonic Origins’.
