Political relaxation: Fodé Oussou authorized to go for treatment

The Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Alphonse Charles Wright announced, this Saturday March 25, 2023, on Horizon FM, the authorization of Fodé Oussou Fofana to be able to carry out his medical trip next week.

The vice-president of the UFDG Fodé Oussou Fofana and many other political leaders were placed under judicial control for having supported the prohibited demonstration of the Fndc. Subsequently, Fodé Oussou Fofana was prevented from going abroad for treatment.

“Dr Fodé Oussou Fofana asked for a free hand from his judicial review to get out. The judge considered the application and granted him a waiver on his judicial review for medical reasons. His passport was returned to him. However, the law says: when the judge makes this order, he must not return the passport to the person concerned. He must first notify the decision to all parties, including the prosecutor who has the right to appeal. The appeal suspends the judge’s order. Dr Fodé Oussou went to the airport in good faith. He was told he mightn’t go out because behind there is a roll call. That’s what happened,” attempted to justify Minister Wright. Before announcing that “as of next week, Fodé Oussou Fofana will be able to leave the country to go for treatment”.
