Chancellor Nehammer enforces Austria’s interests in Brussels

Green Combustor Stays Beyond 2035; Climate protection through progress instead of doomsday scenarios

Vienna (OTS) “The pressure from Chancellor Karl Nehammer in Brussels is paying off. The innovation-damaging end of the combustion engine, which would have hit Austrian industry hard, was successfully prevented by Federal Chancellor Nehammer together with international partners in the EU. The result of the negotiations with the European Commission shows that the self-confident attitude of the Federal Government in Brussels brings advantages for people and the economy in the country”, explains the Secretary General of the People’s Party, Christian Stocker, the gratifying concession of the European Commission and further: “Climate neutrality can only hand in hand with technological progress and innovation. Today’s agreement will prevent the orphaning of a proven technology and enable a future for promising e-fuels.”
