The FPÖ’s wish for the construction of a Waldviertel motorway will probably not be realized. A few days ago, the second president of the state parliament, Gottfried Waldhäusl, announced the resumption of corresponding plans, which state governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner (ÖVP) unmoved in the Ö1 series “Im Journal zu Gast” rejected: “I think he had a dream.”
Mikl-Leitner did not want to be clear regarding the controversial passage in the government agreement with the FPÖ, according to which there should only be tavern funding for regional cuisine. It’s regarding having a place in the community where people come together. Therefore, there is a corresponding subsidy for both the first and the last inn. The regionality plays a role, the governor remained vague, whether there might also be subsidies for a pizzeria, for example.
Mikl-Leitnre defended the desire to establish German as a break language in school regulations. This suggestion came from her national group. It’s regarding “perfecting” language acquisition during the break. She mightn’t find anything bad regarding it.
