DRC: 16 women in the Sama Lukonde II government

The presidential ordinance appointing the members of the Sama II government was read on national television by the spokesperson for the President of the Republic, Tina Salama late Thursday night.
Out of 57 members who make up this government, the names of 16 women appear. Some are ministers of state, others ministers and deputy ministers.

Eve Bazaiba is reappointed Minister of State for the Environment and Nature Conservation and Rose Mutombo Minister of State for Justice and Keeper of the Seals.

Adele Kanyinda is maintained in the portfolio and Judith Tuluka joins the Plan as Ministers of State.

Claudine Ndusi Kembe Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Welfare, remained in her post.

Antoinette Nsamba Kalambayi Minister of Mines, Minister of Vocational Training Antoinette KIPULU, Catherine KATUNGU FURAHA Minister of Culture, Minister of Relations with Parliament Anne-Marie Karume, Nana Manwanina keep their posts.

Irène ESAMBO, Minister Delegate for Persons with Disabilities and Vulnerable Persons, O’Neige Nsele, Deputy Minister of Finance, Aminata NAMASIA Deputy Minister for EPST, Wivine Moleka Deputy Minister for HYDROCARBONS, Séraphine KILUBU Deputy Minister for Transport and lines of communication are also maintained.
