Reese Witherspoon et Jim Toth divorcent.
The 47-year-old American actress made the announcement on her social media on Friday followingnoon, a few days before her 12th wedding anniversary.
“We have things to share with you. It is with great affection and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce,” she wrote.
“We have loved all of his years together and we will continue our lives with mutual respect for what we have created together. Our biggest priority is our son and our family.”
Sources told ‘People’ magazine that the new ex-spouses are getting along really well despite the split.
“They are so invested in their co-parenting (…) They want everything to go as well as possible.”
Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth have been married since March 2011. They share a common son, Tennessee James, 10.
The actress also has two other children, Ava, 23, and Deacon, 19, whom she had with actor Ryan Phillippe, to whom she was married from 1999 to 2008.
