The warfarin it’s a medicine ANTICOAGULANT Oral drug used to prevent the formation of thrombi and emboli. It inhibits the production of vitamin K-dependent coagulation factors and thus reduces the ability of blood to clot.
For which conditions or diseases is this medication prescribed?
The warfarin It is prescribed for people with certain types of irregular heart rhythms, people with artificial heart valves (replacement or mechanical), and people who have had a heart attack.
It is also used to treat or prevent venous thrombosis (swelling and blood clot in a vein) and pulmonary embolism (a blood clot in the lung).
The diet that should be taken with its intake
Some foods can change the way the warfarin it works in the body. These foods do not have to be avoided, but they should be eaten or drunk only in small amounts:

Mayonnaise and some oils, such as canola, olive, and soybean

Broccoli, Brussels sprouts and raw green cabbage

Endive, lettuce, spinach, parsley, watercress and green onion

Cabbage, cole slaw, mustard and turnip greens

Cranberry juice and green tea

Fish oil supplements, herbs used in herbal teas
Precautions
Since this medicine can cause a bleeding than usual, activities that might cause an injury or open wound, such as contact sports, should be avoided.
The use of a soft toothbrush, waxed dental floss and an electric razor is also recommended, be extra careful when around sharp objects,
do not reach or climb to reach objects in the kitchen and put things where you can easily reach them.
In turn, you should be sure to look for unusual signs of bleeding or bruises on your body.
