And the campaign to prevent filming the Iftar meals for fasting people invaded Facebook pages and groups, which on every occasion turn into an arena for racing and bragging, by publishing the best and most luxurious food and the finest tables.

Many Facebook pages and groups, which launched the hashtag “No to filming breakfast tables,” called on Algerian families, especially women, who used to publish the food and dishes they prepared, and even fruits, desserts, annuals and nuts, on social networking sites, to stop these behaviors, taking into account the feelings of the poor and the needy. able to provide for themselves.

This campaign, which was witnessed in other Arab countries, was met with interaction from the pioneers of social networking sites, who called for changing these “disgraceful” behaviors and immediately stopping hurting the feelings of the needy, the poor, the orphans and the refugees.

And a post by a Facebook user stated, “The month of Ramadan is not for eating, drinking, and decorating tables with various types of food. Rather, it is the month of worship, drawing closer to God Almighty, and correcting the mistakes of the years.”

And she added, “I hope that everyone does not photograph food during Ramadan, in appreciation of the conditions of people. Have mercy on the poor and the needy.”

Another wrote, “A campaign once morest photographing breakfast tables…because there are needy people who cannot access this wealth of food and drinks. No hypocrisy.”

In addition, there have been calls to avoid photographing the needy while handing out the aid, following it has turned into a phenomenon in recent years, especially since these behaviors put the needy in embarrassment and shame while they receive this aid, so that some of them cover their faces in shame.
