The intense rainfall registered since early Thursday morning left flooded homes in Córdoba, flooded streets and caused power outages in different neighborhoods of the capital and the interior of the province.

Around 7, Civil Defense personnel continued working in different sectors that presented complications as a result of the intense fall of water in a short time.
The Costanera avenue in both hands and the Camino del Cuadrado remain closed.
Until 8 o’clock, the rain that fell accumulated regarding 80 millimeters in just a few hours in the center of the city of Córdoba.
Meanwhile, in some neighborhoods the records reached 55 millimeters.
Flooded houses in Córdoba
Gustavo Folis, from the Municipal Civil Defense, confirmed that both hands of Costanera avenue remain cut off and listed the beginnings of flooding and waterlogging in homes in the Villa Rivera Indarte, Los Robles, Los Nogales, Matienzo, Panamericano neighborhoods, among others.
They were evaluating the possibility of evacuating residents of the Los Robles and Villa Rivera Indarte neighborhoods. However, from the Municipality they clarified that at the moment “there are no evacuees” in Córdoba Capital.
“We are working with all units. And also relieving electrical risks. We still do not have the record of the amount of water fallen. In a very short time, a lot of water fell, ”he told Miter Cordoba.
“We ask the neighbors that, if they have to leave their houses, they do so with caution and notify us of fallen poles or trees. You also have to be careful with blind wells, due to possible subsidence. That they give us notice at 103 or 105 of Civil Defense ”, he completed.
In Costanera and Tablada, a car was swept away by the water and its two occupants had to be rescued.
At the entrance to Córdoba by E-53, a Ford EcoSport got lost at the height of the bridge that connects the route with Padre Luchesse avenue.
Power outages in Córdoba
In the midst of the storm, residents of different parts of Córdoba and surrounding towns alerted for problems with the electricity supply.
The Centro, Nueva Córdoba and Alberdi neighborhoods were some of those affected.
There were also problems in Quebrada de las Rosas, San Ignacio, Teodoro Fels, Las Palmas, Ampliación Las Palmas, Country Costa Verde, Almirante Brown, Ituzaingó Anexo, Parque Vélez Sarsfield, Suarez, Güemes, Jardin Claret, Los Boulevares and Granja de Funes.
In turn, residents of La Calera indicated that they did not have the supply either.
From Epec they reported six medium voltage distributors are completely out of service and another two partially affected.
They indicated that the crews are working to solve the problems.

As a result of the intense rainfall and poor visibility, the Highway Police implements a traffic cut on the Camino del Cuadrado.
Meanwhile, they asked motorists to drive with caution on the different routes and roads of Córdoba.
