Crying is a kind of emotional response to a specific feeling according to circumstances and events, and it is usually sadness or pain, in return as a result of a beautiful feeling or a joyful event.

A study revealed on the “Harvard Health” website revealed that the medical benefits of crying have been known for a long time, and thinkers and doctors assumed that tears act as a laxative, as they drain and purify.

Today’s psychological thought largely agrees, emphasizing the role of crying as a mechanism that allows us to get rid of stress and emotional pain.

Studies have linked suppressive conditioning with cardiovascular disease and high blood pressure, as well as with mental health conditions, including stress, anxiety and depression. Crying has also been shown to increase attachment behavior, encouraging closeness, empathy, and support from friends and family.

And a psychologist at the University of South Florida says that surveys reveal that regarding two-thirds of people in general feel better following crying.

Tears moisturize the eyes and keep them healthy. In this regard, one of the doctors explains that the biological function of tears is to keep the eyes moist or protect them from fumes or dirt that enter them.​
