The National Authority for Egyptian Railways has announced the extension of Telugu train trips to Aswan station on the Cairo/Aswan line, starting on Thursday March 23, 2023. This coincides with the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, and is in accordance with the directives of Engineer Kamel Al-Wazir, Minister of Transport, following the successful experimental operation of the Telugu trains on the Upper Egypt line. The Telugu train will operate at the prescribed speeds, reducing travel time.

The first train trips of the Telgo train on the Cairo/Aswan line will begin from Misr station in Cairo at 22:50 and arrive in Aswan at 10:35 the next day. It will operate on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays of each week with stops including Giza, Asyut, Sohag, Qena, Luxor, Edfu, and Kom Ombo. It will return from Aswan station at 19:00, arriving in Cairo at 6:50. It will work on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays of each week, according to the attached schedules.

Ticket prices for the Telgo train will be 700 pounds for first class and 550 pounds for second class on the Cairo-Aswan line. This extension of the Telugu flights comes in implementation of the directives to modernize and develop all elements of the railway system, including mobile units, to provide the highest levels of service to citizens.
