The Pharmacists Syndicate warns and the Minister of Health responds!

The head of the Pharmacists Syndicate, Joe Salloum, warned that, “In the event that we do not deliver the medicines, we will go on a comprehensive strike.”

While the Minister of Health, Firas Al-Abyadh, responded in an interview with Al-Hadath, saying, “The words of the Pharmacists Syndicate are inaccurate, and the problem is between pharmacies and drug suppliers.”

He added, “Pharmacies are legally obligated to provide medicine as long as it is available.”

He pointed out, “The words of the Pharmacists Syndicate are political, and we refuse to exploit people’s pain.”

He stressed that, “the price of imported medicine has not changed, but people’s purchasing power has decreased.”

Al-Abyadh added, “The health sector is facing a major crisis, and we are trying as much as possible to secure support for the sector.”

He pointed out that, “The existing solutions in the health sector are patchwork, and there is no solution except with a political solution to the country’s situation.”

Al-Abyad concluded, “There is no solution for all sectors before electing a president.”
