The General Administration of Cairo Traffic has appointed necessary traffic services to manage expected traffic densities and flow during the completion of the monorail project’s works. As such, Youssef Abbas Street will be totally closed, from the Orouba axis to Al-Nasr Road, for those coming from the Orouba axis with closed exit, starting Wednesday, March 22, 2023, for 15 days, from 12:05 am until 6:00 am on the same day. The following diversion has been provided: for those coming from Al-Urouba axis, continue on Al-Urouba axis, turn to Al-Tayaran Street towards Al-Nasr axis. Those coming from Behind the Stadium Street should take a left from Al-Bahari Stadium Street, then take Al-Orouba Axis, then Al-Tayaran Street towards Al-Nasr Axis. The exit of Al-Urouba Tunnel heading to Youssef Abbas Street will be closed and vehicular traffic redirected to Al-Urouba axis. The General Administration of Cairo Traffic will provide traffic services and coordinate with the executing companies to ensure citizen’s safety and security.

The General Administration of Cairo Traffic appointed the necessary traffic services to face any expected traffic densities and traffic flow, coinciding with the completion of the implementation of the works of the monorail project and the lifting of the metal beams of the station body, which requires the continuation of the total closure of Youssef Abbas Street in the link from the Orouba axis to Al-Nasr Road for those coming from Orouba axis with exit closed Arab tunnel Heading to Youssef Abbas Street, provided that the works will be implemented as of Wednesday, 3/22/2023, for a period of 15 days, from 12:05 am until 6:00 am on the same day, which requires traffic diversions as follows:
➢ Coming from Al-Urouba axis, continue Al-Urouba axis, turning to Al-Tayaran Street towards Al-Nasr axis.
➢ Coming from Behind the Stadium Street, take a left from Al-Bahari Stadium Street, then take Al-Orouba Axis, then take Al-Tayaran Street towards Al-Nasr Axis.
➢ Closing the exit of Al-Urouba Tunnel heading to Youssef Abbas Street and diverting vehicular traffic to Al-Urouba axis.
For its part, the General Administration of Cairo Traffic assigns the necessary traffic services and coordinates with the executing companies to put in place technical assistance and all equipment indicating the presence of works in the region to ensure the security and safety of citizens.
As Cairo prepares for the completion of the monorail project, traffic services are also being appointed to face any expected traffic densities and flows.
