Something More Than Words
“We need to learn to get rid of the waves of pride, if we want to put out hate and unreason together.”
Nothing is impossible in existential eyes, it is our duty to be active to free ourselves from evil, practice justice and amend truly atrocious situations. Nor is it a matter of fighting, but of resisting and spreading the spirit of good so that truth reigns in life; and therefore harmony. At the time, and urgently, let’s dethrone the wars of our gaze, putting our hearts into everything we do. Let’s strengthen family ties, universalize health and education systems, exemplify our actions, combining good work with the best work. On the other hand, let us activate the necessary synergies to face the challenges at a time of strong global crisis. Let’s keep in mind, that everything affects us all. Personally, I think that this is exactly where we must put the accent and be more supportive; which entails strong social protection policies, focused on people’s needs.
What is clear, that it is not viable to live on an island, without being disturbed by anything or anyone. We have globalized. We need to understand and understand each other. Also, outside of indoctrination and more freedom, the future is ours; and, as such, we have to make it possible, recognizing that only certainty brings calm to our steps. Undoubtedly, the hurricane of tension has to stop, with more open and equitable fields, where people can be supported through decent jobs as part of sustainable production systems, but also with conciliatory attitudes that make this feeling of resentment disappear, and thus being able to respond to the barrage of evil with a detached embrace. Of course, we need to learn to get rid of the waves of pride, if we want to put out hate and unreason together. Truly, no being walks by itself. For this reason, we must stop slapping each other and unite with more ethical and less immoral sentiments.
Undoubtedly, we have to cultivate other aesthetics and immerse ourselves in continuous doing. Surely we would do more tasks if we thought that the impossible ones are far fewer than the possible ones. The potential of the doable lies in something as easy as the belief that something is possible and, for that, you have to make it true. How many times have we felt discouraged from abandoning everything! We should know, therefore, that only in a world of sincere people is union possible. Without unity, there is no development, no matter how hard we try. We know, at the same time, that a quarter of humanity today lives in places affected by conflict. Perhaps we have to activate the agreements, conceive them admissible, in a path of detachment from the mundane and joint orientation, through dialogue and negotiation. Otherwise, the violence will be collectively grafted on as one of the greatest living and persistent nightmares on the planet.
Consequently, we should keep in mind that revenge is a cruel receipt, to the extent that it is contempt for all practicable reparation. This is the real situation that we also have to correct. We can do it and we have to do it. Want is power. The unsustainable cannot continue. Away with the ghost of the timid and the refuge of the cowards. We are citizens of action and word. Let’s never fail. Let’s make principles a value without borders. Let’s start with oneself, that from a just spirit is born the most absolute calm. Let’s overcome indifference and activate the culture of care as a path of stillness. Nothing is unrealizable. Here below, we can all contribute to the realization of the memorandum of the best dream, that of harmony among residents, since everything ultimately resides in respect for human rights. Of course, peace is possible and, at the same time, necessary; You just have to serve the truth and, without any fear, consolidate the desire to fraternize.
Hence how significant it is to do, with all the soul and with all the mind, the acceptance of the different cultures. Indeed, by recognizing the value of meeting, not only meeting people, but also stopping with them and listening to them, accompanying them in solitude and leading them not to feel alone. Unfortunately, we have become accustomed to cultivating indifference. After all, any of us, sooner rather than later, suffered some need in our history. As citizens of the world we must get involved, confront falsehoods with facts, ignorance with education, and passivity with commitment. Many times we work on the memory of savage events, however, we do not denounce the resentment and the desire for revenge. It is true that we cannot deny the past, but to reshape the future, we may have to start by rethinking the transformations we dream of, which cannot be possessing, nor excluding, nor accumulating; but sharing, contributing and distributing. Let’s do our best, even if it seems impossible!
