Climate protection demands are not blackmail | SN.at

In a letter to the SN dated March 21, Ms. Zehetner from the company oecolution describes peaceful protests as blackmail and anti-democratic.
She calls on us to give greater consideration to business interests when it comes to climate change. I don’t see these protests and demands for climate protection as blackmail, but as fundamental parts of our democracy. Climate activists are committed to urgently needed climate protection and have the right to draw attention to their concerns. The economic argument also seems very short-sighted. Climate protection and economic progress are not in conflict with each other, since climate protection not only protects the environment, but also promotes a sustainable and stable economy.
