Twenty-five visual artists and an equal number of poets are participating in an exhibition during Ramadan. This exhibition is being organized under a partnership agreement between the agency Bayt Mal Al-Quds, the Maison de la poetry in Morocco, and the Moroccan Syndicate of Professional Visual Artists.
During the inauguration ceremony, Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid applauded the contributions made by Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency in supporting the holy city and its inhabitants. He also mentioned that the Palestinian cause is a priority in the Kingdom of Morocco’s foreign policy.
The director of Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency, Mohamed Salem Cherkaoui, emphasized that the agency is fulfilling its socio-humanitarian missions to support the resistance of the Maqdessis. He mentioned that $3.4 million, 100% Moroccan, was mobilized this year to support education, health, social assistance, and culture.
The Agency will launch a special program during Ramadan, which will focus on social assistance and projects for human development, cultural, and artistic animation in the city of Al-Quds.
Mohamed Mansouri Idrissi, president of the Moroccan Union of Professional Visual Artists, highlighted that this exhibition positively reflects the solidarity of the Moroccan artistic and cultural elite with the Palestinian cause, as peace, openness, and living together have always been a part of the DNA of the Moroccan people.
Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency was created in 1998 with an objective to mobilize financial resources necessary for the defense of Palestinians’ inalienable rights in the city of Al-Quds. It also seeks to safeguard and preserve its Arab-Islamic cachet, civilizational, religious, cultural, and architectural heritage.
V25 visual artists and as many poets take part in this exhibition organized throughout the month of Ramadan within the framework of a partnership agreement linking the agency to the Maison de la poetry in Morocco and the Moroccan Syndicate of Professional Visual Artists.
In a speech during the inauguration ceremony, the Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, stressed that the results achieved over 25 years by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, the executive arm of the Al-Quds Committee, constitutes “a source of pride for Moroccans”, given its contributions in terms of support for the holy city and its inhabitants.
Recalling that the Palestinian cause is one of the priorities of the Kingdom of Morocco’s foreign policy, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid noted that the agency has carried out, under the wise leadership of King Mohammed VI, many humanitarian initiatives and actions aimed at the defense of Al-Quds and the preservation of its religious cachet and its historical and civilizational identity.
For his part, the director in charge of the management of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency, Mohamed Salem Cherkaoui, stressed that the agency continues to fulfill its socio-humanitarian missions to support the resistance of the Maqdessis, recalling that 3.4 million dollars, 100% Moroccan, was mobilized this year to support the sectors of education, health, social assistance and culture.
On the occasion of Ramadan, the Agency will launch a special program in the city of Al-Quds, which focuses on projects for social assistance, human development and cultural and artistic animation, he said. , adding that other activities will be organized during the blessed month in partnership with the association of the Moroccan Cultural Center “Bayt Al-Maghrib” in Al-Quds.
