Al-Khudairi comments on the Ministry of Health’s bulletin about electronic cigarettes…and resolves the controversy over their harms

Al-Marsad Newspaper: Researcher in carcinogens, Fahd Al-Khudairi, said that those who believe and delusional that electronic cigarettes are less harmful and less dangerous, the Ministry of Health bulletin reveals that electronic cigarettes contain toxic metals and their increase causes heart disease, lung obstruction, lung cancer, and all diseases of regular cigarettes.

And Al-Khudairi continued, in a tweet via his Twitter account: For information, its components are very harmful industrial nicotine, and it does not differ from regular nicotine in terms of damage and danger.

According to the Ministry of Health’s bulletin, “e-cigarette aerosols contain nickel and chromium at higher rates compared to smoke from regular cigarettes.”

The bulletin indicated that the liquid used in electronic cigarettes may lead to nicotine poisoning, and its symptoms include: sweating, lethargy, vomiting, dizziness, difficulty breathing, increased heart rate, lung cancer, cardiovascular disease, and some other smoking-related diseases.

And she continued: “The use of electronic cigarettes increases the risk of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,” stressing that: “E-cigarettes are not a safe alternative to regular cigarettes.”
