Palmade case: Muriel Robin “mainly thinks of the victims”

“They love each other… well, almost!” The fictionalized adaptation of sketches by Pierre Palmade and Muriel Robin had attracted nearly 4.2 million viewers in April on TF1. Both are so inseparably linked that the reaction of the actress was eagerly awaited following the tragic accident caused on February 10 by the 54-year-old comedian. This Monday evening, in a Parisian theater where she was to receive an award, Muriel Robin spoke for the first time.

“I’m mainly thinking of the victims,” she says, serious and hesitant. “Dad is still in the hospital. We’re not even sure he’s returned. We all know the story. I think of the victims. And I hope justice will do the right thing for them… I can’t even say the sentence soften anything, nothing they’re going through can be softened. I am thinking of the victims”.

And to continue in front of the BFMTV camera: “I arrived with a big smile and I will keep it all evening. So let’s talk regarding something else. (…) If you see me, it’s okay. That hasn’t been the case lately…” And laughing: an elegant way to cut it short.

The 67-year-old director and director had lambasted on Twitter the treatment inflicted on her by the weekly “Paris Match”.

“The cover of Paris Match as well as the article inside the newspaper were done without consulting me, therefore without my agreement”, she denounced.

Among the victims, Yuksel the father, is actually still hospitalized. He would have undergone “seven operations”, according to his relatives. Contacted by Le Parisien, Yilmaz, the cousin of the father, explains that, Devrim, 6 years old, the youngest son wears a corset, which wraps him from the kidneys to half of the skull, behind, and allows him to stay straight and standing because he now walks without help.

He has resumed school in the morning since Monday, March 13. “At home, he is closed in on himself, but at school he feels better. He is comfortable with his friends. He prefers going to school to staying at home,” continues his cousin. “He went back to school but only in the morning because he gets tired very quickly. Devrim wants to move, like all children his age”.
