Curling – Worlds: five out of five for the Swiss – rts.ch

At the women’s world curling championship taking place in Sweden, the Swiss are proving intractable at the start of the tournament. After winning their first 4 matches, Silvana Tirinzoni and her teammates completed the pass of 5 by downgrading Germany 9-1.

If the result looked like a lesson, it is also because the experienced German skipper, Daniela Jentsch, had a bad day. The 41-year-old only managed 38% of her stones. While at the same time, her direct opponent, Alina Pätz, managed 100% of her stones.

The Germans might have given up following six ends, when the score was 9-0, but they played one more end so as not to lose on a 0 point.
