The National Chocolate Festival is already throbbing in Bariloche and the organization defined the schedule of activities to coincide with Easter, which will, as usual, focus on children and on pondering the star product of the city.
As of Thursday, April 6, Bariloche will offer playful and “chocolate” proposals to enjoy with the family, taking advantage of one of the most anticipated long weekends of the year.
The central dates of the National Chocolate Festival will be el Thursday 6, Friday 7 and Saturday 8 Aprilbut in addition, activities will be added in advance on Tuesday, April 4 and on Easter Sunday.
In the center of Bariloche there will be once once more the decoration alluding to the festival, giant and colorful eggs distributed on Miter street, and a lot of decoration that will be part of the Easter postcard.
The Chocolate Walk
The event program will start on Thursday 6 at 4:00 p.m. with the inauguration of the Paseo del Chocolatewhich can also be enjoyed every followingnoon of the long weekend, until 8:00 p.m.
The little ones will have a symbolic passport and will go through different proposals with games and chocolate along Miter street. At the end of the slogans, they will graduate from the “Chocolate University” where they will receive a diploma and will be able to take photos on the Fiesta portal. The activity is free and with no charge.
Also in the followingnoon, on Thursday and Friday, there will also be free shows in the port of San Carlos with the show “La Cocina de Roberta”, which promises to arouse lots of laughter and fun.
All the boys can go spontaneously, without prior registration, and it will be repeated every 30 minutes.
The chocolate bar will have 2 tons
On Friday the 7th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Civic Center there will be the Casa del Conejo to take pictures and greet him personally.
At 6:00 p.m. the longest handmade chocolate bar in the world will be prepared, this time exceeding 215 meters long and over two tons in weight.
To make the bar in full view of everyone on Miter Street, they will work more than 100 master chocolatiers seeking to break a new record.
Once the chocolate bar is finished, portions of this delight will be delivered free of charge to the public.
After 8 pm there will be shows and music in the Civic Center, although the list of artists has not yet been released.
On Easter Saturday, with a musical festival
On Saturday the 8th, as part of the Chocolate Festival, the “Festival Musical del Chocolate”with the presentation of two children’s shows, the first at 5 pm with “Las Magdalenas” and the second at 7 pm “Los Mellis en Concierto”.
These activities will also be free but will require prior registration that will be reported on the networks and website of the Chocolate Festival.
Sunday with hot chocolate
On Easter Sunday, at 5:00 p.m. there will be hot chocolate for everyone on the Paseo del Chocolate (Mitre street) as the closing of the party.
The organization estimates that throughout the activities More than 12,000 Easter eggs will be distributed, plus the two tons that the giant chocolate bar weighs.
