The first round of beta testing for Diablo IV has come to an end. And while the state of the game leaves much to be desired, many players were pleased with the upcoming Blizzard product.
Despite the inconvenience (which, according to the developers, was partially eliminated in the new update), the players do not spare warm words regarding the next part of the cult series.
Reading the fan forums, it’s not hard to find opinions that the beginning of the campaign is much better than the whole story in Diablo III. Players have loved the new part so much that waiting for the release of the full version of the game will be an ordeal for them.
Here are some examples of comments on Reddit:
“The game is great, the open world is complete and is a huge improvement on what we had in the trio. The MMO elements are fine and have not caused me any problems, I always have something to do at any given time. I didn’t feel like I was wasting my time doing one thing instead of another. So everything is great!” – Reklatzzz.
“The game is much better than I expected, to be honest, I’m not yet 25, but I really enjoy playing the main campaign and side missions. I play as a barbarian and the skill tree seems solid with a lot of options. The combat is smooth and I was taken aback by the fact that this is a cross-platform game. I can play on PC with my brother who uses PS5.” – Soppressata88.
“This is how Diablo III should be” – travtrav53.
“I like the music that plays in the background when I’m in the city” – SirSantosII.
“Overall impressions are positive, better than Diablo III, but I played too little time to study and appreciate it thoroughly” – Katoshi.
But there are also disadvantages. Among the negative comments, there are often accusations of a too “low” camera and the inability to zoom out, as a result of which the interface partially interferes with the picture. There are also complaints regarding the too repetitive nature of the locations, which quickly get bored, and poor animation.
Perhaps if the Blizzard developers take into account the feedback from the community and make appropriate improvements, then there is a chance that the game will be successful not only from a commercial point of view.
The next round of the Diablo IV Beta, open to all players, will take place March 24-26.
The full game will release on June 6, 2023 on PC, PS4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
