Congratulations to the Wiener Bauernbund on their success in the Chamber of Agriculture election

Impressive victory for Norbert Walter’s team with 80.99% of the votes

Vienna (OTS) In today’s election for the Vienna Chamber of Agriculture, the Vienna Farmers’ Union was able to win an impressive victory. The result is 80.99% and thus an increase of 1.3 percentage points, which means 17 of 20 mandates for the farmers’ association in the general assembly of the Chamber of Agriculture. Voter turnout also rose to 56.75%. “Today, the team of the Vienna Farmers’ Association is reaping the fruits of constant work for the farmers in Vienna and is well positioned with Norbert Walter at the helm. Over the past few years, as director and chairman of the farmers’ association, he has shown how important direct marketing and the associated positioning at all levels is for Viennese family businesses. The Vienna Farmers’ Association has always been particularly committed to urban agriculture,” congratulated the President of the Farmers’ Association, Abg. e.g. NR DI Georg Strasser and Farmers’ Union Director Ing. Mag. David Süss.

Walter is also positioning himself to succeed the previous LK president, Ök.-Rat Ing. Franz Windisch, to whom Strasser and Süss express their thanks. “Franz Windisch is handing over an orderly house. Over the last few years, a wide range of urban agriculture has been established, from gardening, arable farming, fruit growing and wine growing to ornamental plant growing. It makes Vienna a model for Europe. We would like to thank Franz Windisch for his services and are pleased that the Vienna Chamber of Agriculture is still in good hands,” said Strasser and Suess.
