Javier Gandolfi, of the lack of “freshness” in the fall of Talleres and the use of technology

Javier Gandolfi spoke following the defeat of Talleres, by 1-0 with Banfield At Kempes, he was not satisfied with the game the team played and referred to the use of VAR.

“Throughout the game, the team didn’t look good, they didn’t look as fresh as one expects,” said the Talleres coach.

“It was difficult for us to associate, it was difficult for us to play between the lines to supply the forwards and wingers. We tried and we didn’t succeed. In the first half we had no clear arrivals and in the second, following the rival’s goal and with the changes, we looked for the match. We had four or five situations to tie and we mightn’t”, added Gandoldi.

When talking regarding the referee’s performance and the use of VAR, the Talleres coach said: “I will always say the same thing, I will repeat it beyond that in football you don’t know if it’s okay to talk or not. He was in full view of all. Technology is here to be used well. If they don’t do it well, what they have to handle is not my problem, I’m going to continue working the same”, indicated the DT.

“In the last minutes they played without VAR because it didn’t work. The problem is not that we know in which situations the VAR is consulted and other plays are not. There are plays that are reviewed and others that are not. I’m not talking regarding the referee, I’m talking regarding those who use technology”, completed the Talleres technician.
