ALGIERS- The National Insurance Company (SAA) and Algeria Post, signed Sunday in Algiers, a framework and partnership agreement to strengthen their cooperation in the development of the digital economy.
The agreement was signed at SAA headquarters by the CEO of the company, Youcef Benmicia, and the CEO of Algérie Poste, Louaï Zaidi, in the presence of executives from both establishments.
On the sidelines of the signing ceremony of this agreement, the two parties noted the importance of this initiative which promotes the development of the digital sector, considered a priority for the public authorities.
Mr. Benmicia explained, in this regard, that this agreement “is part of an action plan aimed at developing the digital economy, modernizing the financial system, strengthening the means of e-payment and promoting remote payment transactions”.
He specified that the two establishments “have agreed to set up, for the implementation of this agreement, a joint working committee for the monitoring and application of the resulting contracts, the aim being to improve and popularize the services offered to citizens”.
SAA celebrates, this year, the sixtieth anniversary of its creation, supported the CEO of SAA, affirming that it “places digitization as the first strategy to implement the action plan decided by the public authorities”.
For his part, Mr. Zaidi explained to what extent the two establishments were in direct contact with the citizen, hence “the interest in working to offer well-being, modernization and digitization, so much sought following by the citizen, but also to develop the digital sector in general”.
