Kick-off of the second season of the Sensationnelles prize initiated by Intermarché

The Sensationnelles prize, initiated in 2022 by Intermarché, opens its second edition in favor of women’s amateur football.

In partnership with the French Football Federation, the call for projects will promote a club carrying out significant actions in favor of the U14-U18 categories (1,716 clubs), with the double ambition: to help young girls to flourish and emancipation through football, to create enthusiasm for women’s football in the regions and territories, and in the clubs.

The operation is part of the All Foot federal system, intended to support the development of women’s practice and to strengthen the place of women in football. Building on the success of the 2022 edition, which revealed a great wealth of initiatives, such as the “communal and inclusive women’s football school” of the winner Bandrélé Foot Féminines (Mayotte), or even “the educational and practical case” of Mitry -Mory Women’s football (Seine-et-Marne) and the “Scofoot” and “Play it like Mom” operations in Saint-Memmie Olympique (Marne), the 2023 edition still promises to highlight some great projects.

As such, the system has just won the Sporsora Sports Marketing Trophies in the “responsible commitment” category. This category rewards Initiatives serving the economy of sport as well as its positive and responsible impact. The award-winning approach is considered the most responsible, the most sustainable, the most successful, and meets certain Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN.

Camille Sassi, business manager and Intermarché member of the marketing department: “The success of the first edition with nearly 300 applications and a great wealth of projects presented, which made the deliberations complex, validated our approach to promoting the female practice and its clubs. This aspect of our commitment as an official partner of French football will continue to unfold. »

The experience of the young players of Bandrélé Foot Féminines (Mayotte) last summer at Lewes FC in England, will certainly make clubs and women’s sections want to try their luck for this new edition.

Under the patronage of Laure Boulleau (ex International player and PSG player, TV consultant), who volunteered to support the operation, a jury will initially elect nine clubs particularly invested in the development of the discipline. They will be invited to Paris on June 22 at the FFF to present their project and try to win exceptional prizes: a two-week internship next August for a team of 16 U14 to U18 players and two of their coaches, at the National Football Center in Clairefontaine to live the experience of the high level with specific coaching while discovering the capital, financial support of 10,000 euros per year for three years, to help the club carry out a project with a societal vocation, endowments in material.

Laure Boulleau, sponsor of the Sensationnelles trophy: “Women’s practice continues to develop in clubs and must act as a vehicle for the development and empowerment of young girls. It is a public health issue. The first edition revealed the incredible dynamism in the territories, within the clubs. I am proud to continue this adventure with Intermarché and the FFF for the development of my sport. »

Hubert Fournier, National Technical Director and member of the jury: “The FFF shares a common vision with Intermarché: female practice is a unique vector of social integration and education.
