Moazeb: Saleh is keen to appear before the public opinion that he is doing everything possible to hold the elections

Libya – Member of the Advisory Council of State and member of the General Conference since 2012, Muhammad Moazeb, has ruled out that Parliament Speaker Aguila Saleh will enter into a confrontation with the UN envoy Abdullah Batili. Rather, he will suffice with his statements, and it is also possible that the two will meet at the earliest opportunity.

Moazeb, in exclusive statements to Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper, saw that what aroused the anger of the Speaker of Parliament, Aqila Saleh, from the statements of the UN envoy, was his accusation to the representatives and the state of obstructing the elections.

He explained that Aqeela Saleh is very keen to appear before the public opinion that he is doing everything that can be done, in order to prepare for the holding of elections, in terms of preparing laws and approving a constitutional amendment, adding that these laws and legislation cannot lead to elections, as they allow the candidacy of Saif al-Islam. Gaddafi and Khalifa Haftar, which created many objections to its passage, especially in the western region, and unfortunately Salih is well aware of this, ruling out that the joint committee (6 + 6) would reach any future consensus on it.
