The search for the new voice of tomorrow continues in The Voice, the most beautiful voice. This Saturday evening, the four coaches discovered a new series of talents for which they buzzed or not. Two of them surprised Vianney more than others. And, for good reason, they each had a story with the interpreter of I am leaving.
After evolving in Gush, a rock group known in France and internationally, Xavier Polycarpe decided to go solo and therefore try his luck in French telecrochet. Resuming So Lonely of The Police, the 41-year-old flips the four red chairs. It is then that Vianney realizes that he knows the person who is in front of him. “I knew you when I wasn’t into music at all“, says the coach who has, in fact, crossed paths with the singer during his very first TV set on France 4. “You had been so cool to me. (…) I am very moved and happy that you have taken this step“, continue Vianney.
“You have to think outside the box“, then launches Amel Bent who hopes to see Xavier Polycarpe join his team. But, in the end, it is Big Flo and Oli who have managed to seize the coveted talent.
“The ‘V’ is Vianney’s ‘V’ in fact, not that of The Voice”
The surprises continue with Selda, a 23-year-old singer who shared the stage with Vianney during one of the latter’s tour dates. “I was going to say ‘What’s your name?’ but I know you!“, said Vianney at the end of the performance of the young woman on Because it’s you by Axel Red. The other coaches then chain the remarks. “The ‘V’ is Vianney’s ‘V’ in fact, not that of The Voice”, launches Amel Bent, convinced like her comrades that Selda will choose to join the Vianney team.
“Sometimes we sing on stage with people we don’t really know. (…) It was already a great moment on stage…“, declares Vianney who has finally been well chosen by the singer. He then offers to accompany her on the title that she has just performed on stage. “They are so complicit already“, jokes Big Flo. “The show is actually rigged“, adds Zazie while Amel Bent promises it:”If you know the next one, I’m leaving!“
