Half century for Laura! Good score for Gujarat Giants against Royal Challengers Bangalore

Mumbai: Royal Challengers Bangalore are aiming for a big win once morest Gujarat Giants in the Women’s Premier League. After winning the toss and batting at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai, Gujarat scored 189 runs on the strength of Laura Wolwart (68 off 42 balls). Ashley Gardner (41 off 26 balls) made a crucial contribution. Shreyanka took two wickets in Patil. RCB are coming in with a change. Preeti Bose replaced Renuka Singh in the team. Gujarat also made a change. Sabineni Meghna replaces Mansi Joshi.

Gujarat lost one wicket in the Powerplay. Sophia Dungli (16) was bowled by Soph Devine. But the third wicket combination of Laura and Sabineni Meghna led Gujarat to a better position. Both of them added 63 runs. But Meghna was kicked out by Shreyanka Patil. But Gardner, who came next, also performed well. Gardner and Laura added 52 runs. Gujarat were 142 for three when Laura returned. Laura’s innings included two sixes and nine fours. Then Gardner returned. However, the combination of Dayalan Hemalatha (16) and Harleen Deol (12) led Gujarat to a huge score. Both added 27 runs.

Gujarat captain Sneh Rana won the toss and elected to bat. Both teams are in the last two positions in the points table. Gujarat is fourth and RCB is fifth.
