The committee supervising the elections of the Journalists Syndicate announced the victory of Khaled Al-Balshi, and announced him as the captain of the journalists, following obtaining 2450 votes, while his competitor, Khaled Miri, received 2211 votes.

The committee supervising the elections of the Journalists Syndicate started counting the votes of the voters, following voting closed at eight in the evening.

Ayman Abdel Majeed, Secretary General of the Syndicate of Journalists, announced the completion of the legal quorum for the convening of the General Assembly.

Counselor Ahmed Morsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Administrative Prosecution, and head of the Judicial Committee supervising the midterm elections of the Journalists Syndicate, said that the work of the committee in supervising the elections is continuing, until the counting of votes is completed and the result is announced.

He added, in press statements, that the Administrative Prosecution Authority is cooperating with the Journalists Syndicate, in supervising the midterm elections, in accordance with the Syndicate’s law and its internal regulations, so that the General Assembly appears in a civilized purgatory, and the elections come out in a fair process.

The advisor confirmed that the registration work in the lists of the General Assembly is proceeding in a calm atmosphere, without registering any problems of any kind, so that the journalists elect a new captain and 6 members of the council.
