A 3rd wave of motorcycle taxis go electric

The ”Zem electric Zem choco” campaign launched a few days ago by the Company M AUTO continues to arouse enthusiasm. Fifty motorbike taxi drivers came to exchange their internal combustion engines for free for new “Commando” brand electric motorbikes, this Friday, March 17, 2023, at the M AUTO agency in Vodjè in Cotonou.

Following the waves of 25 and 60, 50 other motorbike taxi drivers commonly known as ”Zémidjans” exchanged their old thermal motorbikes free of charge for new ”Commando” electric motorbikes from the M AUTO Company. This is part of the ”Zem electric Zem choco” offer launched a few days ago by the M AUTO Company.

Beneficiaries will pay a daily fee of 3200 FCFA covering maintenance costs, insurance, registration, and two free battery recharges per day.

“Our motorcycles are equipped with an anti-theft system that allows them to be located and recovered in the event of theft. In addition to these advantages, the offer takes into account unlimited battery recharges until March 31,” explained to beneficiaries Hervé Hountondji, Sales Director of M AUTO.

“We make sure at the start that we can give them bikes that work well. Our electric motorcycles allow the protection of the ozone layer and the limitation of greenhouse gases. They meet international standards in this area,” reassured Franck Adjou-Mooumouni, Marketing Director of M AUTO.

For Pierre Hossou, taxi-motorcycle driver, “no more buying gasoline, the costs of which are constantly skyrocketing”. “I can now ride without fear. I invite all my Zémidjan colleagues to quickly exchange their old motorcycles for new electric motorcycles from M AUTO,” urged this “Commando” motorcycle beneficiary.

Apollinaire Voïtan, taxi-motorcycle driver for seven years, believes that he has put an end to several difficulties thanks to the acquisition of his M AUTO electric motorcycle. “It is a great joy for me today to be one of the beneficiaries of the “Zem electric Zem Choco” offer. A new era is opening up for me today,” he rejoices.

Taking into account users’ interest in electric motorcycles, M AUTO, Africa’s leader in electric mobility, intends to move up a gear. “We are very satisfied with the enthusiasm that there is on the market for this offer and we aim in the days to come, to increase the pace and the number of people who will receive the bike since every day, we receive people who already come spontaneously to congratulate us for the initiative”, indicated the Marketing Director of M AUTO.
