For ten days, the Nice Côte d’Azur opera takes up residence in the palace, on the north mezzanine to play the role of common thread. Alain Defils, General Manager of Nicexpo dreamed of it. Bertrand Rossi, general manager of the lyrical temple jumped at the chance. Thus, the public will be able to discover the “Maison” as the opera is called internally, with installation of the decor of Macbeth, exhibition of costumes, photos, videos, revelation behind the scenes through the hidden trades of dresser, painter, sculptor… who we will see working live. The idea? That the opera can speak, sing, declaim to the greatest number.
2 Well in his sneakers and his clothes…
The fair puts sneakers in the spotlight through an exhibition and sale of sneakers. Rare pieces are announced. In a similar register, a dressing room animated by influencers will allow visitors to “shopper” new pieces at attractive prices. And always to think second hand and sustainable development, a corner vintage will bring together fashion/accessory and decoration exhibitors, small committed independent brands and handmade specialists.
3 Housing tips
The Building space is still there. Now part of the Palais des Expositions. And because the house is at the heart of its offer, the Foire de Nice offers the possibility of coming to exchange with professionals: interior designers, Feng Shui advisers, and even mediators, fine negotiators of daily life and the neighborhood. Launched in 2019, this space has been acclaimed by visitors with embryonic plans and diagrams. They left full of refined ideas, wise advice and decoration desires. 4 New products and favorites
All the articles that have made and still make the Fair will be there: stairs, home automation, cabinetmaking, sanitary facilities, furniture, swimming pools, fireplaces, kitchens, household appliances, automobiles, cars and electric two-wheelers, drugstore, beauty products… We do not forget the aisles dedicated to food and drink. The tradition lives on. But the novelties push elbows like the gourmet lollipop which takes care of the teeth, the bones, the immune system, the window-washing robot which cleans all surfaces, the exfoliating cream for the body made from cereal seeds, the detergent in scented laundry sheets… So, ready for the fair?
Tips for enjoying the palace
The Foire de Nice is open from tomorrow until March 27, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (6 p.m. on the last day). The entrance fee does not change: 6 euros and 5 euros for students, free for children under 12.
Do not miss: the “free”. Wednesday, March 22, for Women’s Day, the ladies do not pay. Same principle Tuesday March 21 and Thursday March 23 for Senior Citizens Day: freebies for those over 60. Admission will also be free on Monday March 27, the last day of the fair.
Also note, from Monday to Friday, from 5 to 7 p.m., the Afterwork by Foire de Nice evenings: once more, free entry for those who want to come to the fair following work. Just to have fun by buying or having a drink.
