A total of 310 people were arrested Thursday in France, including 258 in Paris during demonstrations once morest the government’s recourse to 49.3 for the adoption of the contested pension reform, Gérald Darmanin announced on Friday.

In the followingnoon, demonstrators gathered at the call of the Solidaires union at Place de la Concorde in Paris, not far from the National Assembly where Elisabeth Borne triggered article 49.3.
Representatives of several youth organizations, student unions (Alternative), and political organizations (Rebellious Youth, Young Ecologists, NPA Youth), at the initiative of this demonstration, were present. They were joined by workers: railway workers, refiners in particular, then by a procession of more than 1,600 young people from the Place de la Sorbonne, shouting “Emmanuel Macron, president of the bosses, we are coming to pick you up at home” et “Down with 49.3“, noted an AFP journalist.
