Tinder now lets you choose your relationship type and pronouns

O Tinder is launching new features to help users find more suitable relationships, making it clear what type of meeting/dating they are looking for.

The first novelty concerns the “Relationship Type”. That is, it will be possible to choose to include in your profile terms such as “monogamous”, “non-monogamous”, “open relationship”, “polyamory” or “open to exploring”. This shift was driven by the fact that 41% of Gen Z users are open to or looking for non-monogamous relationships.

Additionally, users can now display your pronouns profiles, along with your sexual orientation and gender. This is due to the fact that 33% of singles aged 18-25 agree that their sexuality is more fluid, and 29% said that their gender identity has become more fluid in the last 3 years.

These changes will combine even more with the latest innovation launched in the app, in which it is possible to establish relationship goals, choosing to look for a “partner for life”, “long term”, “short term”, or opt for “ figuring out my dating goals,” in case you didn’t already know.

It is already possible to modify the relationship type in Germany, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Spain, United States, France, Netherlands, Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, United Kingdom, Sweden, Thailand and Taiwan. The pronouns feature, however, is only available in the US at this time.
