UN committee says Russia committed war crimes in Ukraine

GENEVA – A panel of experts commissioned by the UN Human Rights Office has found that Russian forces have attacked civilians in Ukraine and committed torture and massacres in occupied territories. The committee’s report was released on the first anniversary of the Ukraine war. The report points out that several people who sought refuge in the theater in Mariupol were killed in a missile attack.

The report also states that Russia continues to persecute the people of Ukraine by disrupting electricity and water supply systems. The report also mentions the human rights violations committed by the Ukrainian forces. Meanwhile, Poland has announced that it will soon provide Ukraine with 4 MiG-29 fighter jets to counter Russian aggression.

At the same time, the Russian president told a meeting of billionaire businessmen in Moscow that they should work for the good of the country and stop keeping money abroad.
