Miller, Koné and Johnston recalled by the Canadian team

Former CF Montrealers Ismaël Koné and Alistair Johnston will join Miller on the Canadian team.

On the other hand, the veteran and new captain of the Montreal eleven, Samuel Piette, did not receive the call from coach John Herdman. Piette was part of Canada’s roster at the World Cup in Qatar, but he hadn’t played a minute.

Canada will first travel to the Caribbean to face Curaçao on March 25. The nations of Miller and Quioto will next meet when the Maple Leaf representatives host Honduras on March 28 in Toronto.

With a 1-1-0 record, Canada sit second in League A Group C. The four group winners will advance to the Nations League finals scheduled for June, while the bottom four of each group will be relegated to League B for the next edition of the tournament.

Note that the top eight teams will qualify for the 2023 Gold Cup, and the remaining four teams will participate in the Gold Cup qualifiers.
