Arrived in Atlanta in November 2020, Bogdan Bogdanovic visibly feels good at the Hawks. The 30-year-old Serb has actually just extended the long term with the Falcons, he who might have become a free agent this summer.
Ten days ago, certain rumors suggested that Bogi intended to test the Free Agency market in a few months, and that it was to be expected that he would decline his $18 million player option. Quite the opposite has just happened.
Selon Adrian Wojnarowski d’ESPNBogdanovic has therefore just signed a contract extension with Atlanta, worth $68 million over four seasons. The Serb therefore leaves on an annual salary slightly lower than the one he currently has (17 instead of 18 million on his current contract), but with long-term security. Bogdan is now tied with the Hawks franchise until the 2026-27 season (inclusive).

Who knows, maybe it was the new Hawks project with Quin Snyder as coach that convinced Bogdan Bogdanovic to extend the adventure to Atlanta.
This season, the Serb evolves almost mainly off the bench (5 starts in 43 games) but continues to play Bogi: he brings his 15 points – 3 rebounds – 3 assists per night in 28 minutes of play, with 40% 3-point success. There is no doubt that Bogdanovic would have had suitors in the Free Agency market next summer, but it is therefore with the Hawks that he will spend the first part of his thirties.
