The Spanish Football Federation has appointed Ricardo de Burgos Bengotzia to manage the match between Barcelona and Real Madrid to be held on March 19.
Ricardo became famous among fans when he was shown a red card once morest the then Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo in the 2017 Super Copa de España match.
In the first leg of the 2017 Super Copa de Espana El Clasico match, Ricardo Ronaldo was shown a red card.
It was following a dive in the Barcelona box that Ricardo Ronaldo was sent off with a second yellow card and a red card. Ronaldo was handed the first yellow card of the match following celebrating his jersey as usual following scoring a goal.
Earlier, Ricardo de Burgos Bengotzia officiated the final of the Super Copa de Españo in Saudi Arabia in February. Barcelona won the El Clasico by defeating Real Madrid 3-1.
Meanwhile, Barcelona and Real Madrid are in the lead for this year’s La Liga title. But Barca have a solid nine-point lead over second-placed Real Madrid.
Barca have 65 points with 21 wins, two losses and a draw from 25 matches.
With 17 wins, 5 draws and 3 losses from 25 matches, Real remain in the second position with 56 points.
