Update (03/16/23) – JB
According to sources inside Motorola India, the company may end up changing the name of its next foldable smartphone. Thus, the Razr 2023 should end up getting a “Plus” to be called “Motorola Razr Plus (2023)”.
In addition, the numbering of the device will be XT2321, and it will soon begin to be certified by various regulatory agencies. Other details revealed include the presence of 30W fast charging and a battery with a capacity of 2,850 mAh.
As for the design aspects, these sources still bet on a larger external display for the Razr 2023 and this perhaps justifies the presence of the name “Plus”.
Finally, despite the fact that the technical sheet is not yet available, sources report that the foldable should be announced with a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor, a 6.7-inch folding screen with a rate of 144 Hz and native Android 13.

Motorola Razr 2023 appears in real image confirming design and more
The Motorola Razr 2023 had its first real image revealed this friday. The material was published by leaker Sudhanshu and 91Mobiles, and everything was shared straight from Lenovo’s production line.
According to sources, the numbering of the Razr 2023 is XT2321-3, and the device will be sold in two tones. Therefore, it is interesting to note the contrast of colors, and the black tone ends up hiding the secondary display.
Even so, the photo also makes it clear that the panel will not be more than 2.7 inches, something that dispels some rumors regarding a larger external screen.
For now, we still don’t have a spec list for Motorola’s new foldable. Even so, it can be presented with a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor, a 6.7-inch foldable internal display and a 144 Hz rate.
Sources claim that the presentation of the Razr 2023 should take place on June 1st, but this has not yet been confirmed by Lenovo. The only hint provided by an executive is that the smartphone will be released “soon”.

In the interview, Yuanqing told CNBC that the Motorola Razr 2023 will have a new hinge system that will make the inner screen crease less noticeable, something that has only been shown by the OPPO Find N2 Flip so far, but made the design of the foldable much more interesting.
Luciana Vedovato, spokesperson for Motorola, also revealed more of what to expect from the Razr 2023 in an interview with The Verge:
like YY [Yang Yuanqing] mentioned, we are committed to the foldable market and dedicated to expanding the Razr franchise offerings soon. Stay tuned!
This may indicate that the Motorola Razr 2023 may be released in more regions such as North America, as the current model is only officially available in China and Europe.

Motorola Razr 2023 has possible release date revealed in leak
After having its design revealed in a series of renderings, the new Motorola Razr 2023 was predicted to launch in a new leak.
According to sources working at Lenovo, the smartphone foldable may be announced on June 1st at an event to be held in China.
For those who don’t remember, the codename of the Razr 2023 is Juno and this is a great “clue” that collaborates with the rumor.
For now, we still don’t have a spec list for Motorola’s new foldable. Even so, it can be presented with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, a 6.7-inch foldable internal display and a 144 Hz rate.
The biggest highlight expected for this year’s model is the external display, since it can reach 3.5 inches and make the device’s design much more attractive.

Motorola Razr 2023 has leaked renders with large external screen
In October last year, Motorola globally launched the Razr 2022. The manufacturer’s cell phone hit the market with several advances compared to its predecessor, such as a much larger external screen, the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 platform and a screen with support for 144 Hz .
A few months following its announcement, rumors regarding the Motorola Razr 2023 surfaced. Now, renderings may have revealed the design of the foldable, which should have an even larger external screen and camera under the screen.

Informant Evan Blass brought renderings of the Motorola Razr 2023 that show a large external screen, occupying almost the entire panel. It is also possible to notice three spaces to house the camera sensors and the LED flash.
The leak does not reveal the exact size of the external screen, but it is indicated that it will be larger than the display found on the OPPO Find N2 Flip, which has a 3.26-inch screen. Inside, the phone has no hole for the front camera.
Possibly, Motorola will launch the foldable with camera under the display or none. As much as the second option seems strange, it would make sense if we think that the large external screen can be used to see and take selfies, in addition to making the experience with the display more immersive.
It is also possible to notice that the frames are very thin and its frame is curved, which should bring a more comfortable grip. So far, no specification or release date for the Motorola foldable has been revealed.
