Anbar Police announces the seizure of 2.6 million narcotic pills in a security operation

Anbar Police Command announced, on Wednesday, the seizure of 2.6 million “narcotic pills” in a security operation in the province.

The leadership said in a statement, “After receiving information from a source to the Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Affairs that there are narcotic pills inside a refrigerator wheel in one of the garages near the Japanese bridge, and following obtaining judicial legal approvals, a detachment was formed from the above directorate, the Khalidiya police station, and the eleventh Anbar emergency regiment, and they headed to Destination”.

The statement added, “The owner of the garage (A.M.K.), the guard (A.M.), and the accused (T.H.A.) were arrested. The intended refrigerator was seized, and (2) million narcotic pills of the type of Captagon were found inside it.”

The statement pointed out that “followingwards, the force proceeded, in light of other information, to the Khalidiya district, where (M.A.J.), a cyclist, was arrested and seized in possession of (600,000) thousand narcotic pills of the type of Captagon,” noting that “The total sum of this operation is two million six hundred thousand narcotic pills of the type Captagon.”
