The snow has fallen in the south of the country and it is holding this morning. Three provinces had been placed on yellow alert, given the risk of slippery conditions, the provinces of Namur, Liège and Luxembourg. An alert launched yesterday followingnoon and which is maintained until the end of the morning, it is preferable in view of the few centimeters of snow which have fallen.
The snow causes problems in the Battice interchange, in the province of Liège. “I was not expecting this, I was surprised this morning to see so much snow on the road. It slows down, you have to be very careful”said a motorist.
Dozens of spray trucks are on their way to clear the passage this morning. But of course, the snow is still falling and makes their task complicated. As soon as the freeways are cleared, they are resurfaced. The secondary network might not be processed everywhere. If the snow was announced, the quantities surprised everyone making circulation complicated.
“I came by the highway and not everything was clear. It’s quite dangerous. I saw a lot of trucks idling, very slowly. I saw a few accidents too. There are still a lot of snow and it’s still falling”, launches another motorist. The snow showers should leave us little by little during the morning.
