Plastic industry has meeting scheduled in April

Reinforce the socioeconomic relevance of plastic in its most diverse applications, address the importance of the production chain’s participation in environmental and global discussions, inserting plastic as a participatory agent of preservation in the sustainable process, presenting innovations that promote people’s quality of life, the economic benefit and that ‘talks’ with the concepts of the Circular Economy, interact with the productive chains that benefit from plastics, promote networking and generate business effectively.

These are the goals of the 2023 edition of the Plástico Brasil – International Plastics Fair, which will be held at São Paulo Expo, in the city of São Paulo, between March 27 and 31, 2023. After the pandemic period, the fair returns to the face-to-face model to encourage the interaction of companies in the sector around innovation and trends aimed at to the plastics production chain.

“During the pandemic, we maintained the supply chain connection through actions, webinarsconferences and activities online and, next year, we will be meeting once more to validate this connection and to reinforce the importance of this event as a catalyst for innovation and national and international business”, says the show director of the event, Liliane Bortoluci.

In 40,000 m² of exhibition, more than 800 Brazilian and international brands will be gathered, which will present their innovative products and solutions, promoting synergy with professionals and visitors. The market will be able to discover the latest in technologies and solutions in basic products and raw materials, machinery, equipment and accessories, tools and molds, synthetic resins, plastics processors, instrumentation, industrial control and automation, robotics, projects and technical services, recycling, among others.

According to the organizers, one of the highlights of this edition of the event is the international participation: in addition to Brazil, the event has companies from Germany, Argentina, Austria, Canada, China, United States, Hungary, India, Italy, Israel, Mexico, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan and Turkey. A clear indication of the interest that the Brazilian market incites in the world. It is no wonder, since in addition to being essential to various productive sectors, such as civil construction, the automobile and food industries, the plastics industry acts as one of the vectors of modernization in productive processes with a focus on increasing efficiency and corresponds to to 20.4% of the Brazilian GDP, accounting for 69.2% of exports.

In addition to the exhibition area, the Plastic Brazil 2023 It will also feature exclusive areas for content, with the participation of national and international specialists, in an exclusive program on various topics related to plastics, such as raw materials, innovations in engineering, equipment and machinery, technology and sustainability.

Complete transformation chain

By bringing together the complete plastic transformation chain, bringing supply and demand closer together, Plástico Brasil attracts a highly specialized contingent of professionals. In the 2019 edition, held in person before the pandemic, the profile of visitors to the event was predominantly composed of representatives from the plastic processing, packaging, metallurgy, automotive and auto parts, electronics, petrochemical, construction equipment, food and beverages and recycling.

According to Liliane Bortoluci, more than 45 thousand visitors are expected for the 2023 edition. “Plástico Brasil also stands out for the qualification of its visitors. In the last edition, for example, more than 80% of them were decision makers in search of new suppliers, purchase opportunities and investment possibilities”, says Liliane Bortoluci.

Plástico Brasil is an initiative of the Brazilian Association of Machinery and Equipment Industry (ABIMAQ), the Brazilian Association of Chemical Industry (ABIQUIM), in addition to the main entities of the sector, organized by Informa Markets.
