Despite the electoral times, the Local Congress will continue to work at its own pace, continuing to promote patrimonial issues, in economic matters and those in favor of women, said the president of the Political Coordination Board of the LXI Legislature, Elías Rescala Jiménez.
“We will continue promoting the issues that we have been working on, basically patrimonial issues, women’s issues, in economic matters, there is no critical legislative agenda, we are in session only once a week and in that sense I believe that the Electoral Process and the Chamber should be apart,” he said.
Among his upcoming activities, the coordinator of the deputies of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) reported that prior to the start of the electoral campaigns they must define those state government programs that must suspend their due to an electoral ban.
And it is that in accordance with Article 261, of the Electoral Code of the State of Mexico, from the beginning of the electoral campaigns and until the conclusion of the electoral day, the state and municipal authorities, as well as the local legislators, must suspend the diffusion in the social media of all government propaganda.
A week following assuming the presidency of the highest legislative body, the PRI announced that they still maintain the delivery-reception process of each of the areas to evaluate the results of their actions; however, he anticipated that so far there is no need to change area starters.
“We are still in the process of delivering reception of the areas, it has been a period of a year and a half where each of the actions and areas will have to be reviewed, and in that area I would tell them that we must take time responsibly to be able to review all the actions that were carried out”, he commented.
Finally, he reported that so far no other request from legislators to temporarily separate from his position has reached the Board.
