The apple firm announced at the end of January the end of its exclusive contract signed more than 10 years ago with the Conduent call center in Guilherand-Granges.

The union representatives of the Ardèche site of the American teleconsulting company Conduent denounced on Tuesday the job protection plan presented by the management with a view to laying off the 238 employees of the site, following the termination of an exclusive contract with the Apple firm.

“This PSE does not contain any reclassification measure, just the legal minimum”, protested to AFP Anaïs Ibanez, CFTC union representative, signatory of a press release from the inter-union calling Conduent, but also Apple, to their responsibilities.

Apple announced at the end of January the end of its exclusive contract established more than 10 years ago with the Conduent call center in Guilherand-Granges.

“No reclassification measure”

The activity was to continue until May 5, but management announced in early March that most employees were no longer welcome on the site from March 4, with the exception in particular of IT and human resources services. , recalls the inter-union.

Even if wages continue to be paid, “employees have been cut off from everything, overnight: professional tools blocked, isolated, without any support or information”, deplore the elected CFDT, CFTC, CGT and SUD in their communicated.

The latter also demand “the implementation of reclassification measures commensurate with the social disaster to come and the means” of the “international multi-billionaire groups Apple and Conduent”.

Contacted by AFP, the management of Conduent was not immediately available to react. She must meet the elected officials of the CSE on Thursday, announced the latter, who are planning a press conference on Friday on this site located near Valence (Drôme).
